Turtle Season!
May 1 – October 31st

Our premier location directly on Vanderbilt Beach gives us a special audience to this yearly occurrence.  Each year, loggerhead turtles return to the same beach where they hatched to lay eggs.  Hatchlings use the moon's reflection on the water as the light that guides them safely to the sea. We take special care each year to follow the guidelines set forth for safe turtle hatchings.  This year, as part of LaPlaya's efforts to support the conservation of the Florida Green Turtle, we are offering a very special program.   Learn More
