LaPlaya Wins a ConventionSouth 2016 Readers’ Choice Award

NAPLES, Florida (November 4, 2016) – LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort has been honored with a 2016 Readers’ Choice Award by the editors and publishers of ConventionSouth, a national multimedia resource for planning events in the South.

“The 2016 Readers’ Choice Award from ConventionSouth is a testament to the dedication and thoughtfulness of our seasoned special events team and to their commitment to managing each event with a personal touch,” said Marco Perry, managing director of LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort. “With more than 12,000 square feet of stylish and customizable indoor and outdoor event space, LaPlaya provides the perfect backdrop for Naples’ most spectacular weddings, social events, and corporate meetings.”

“ConventionSouth readers and fans have voted to decide the best meeting sites in the South, and it is no surprise to us that LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort has been selected to receive our annual Readers’ Choice Award,” said ConventionSouth Publisher J. Talty O’Connor. “This prestigious recognition comes from the United States’ top meeting professionals. These planners demand the highest level of customer service and quality facilities, and they have determined that LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort indeed displays the commitment to professionalism, creativity, and service that they require.”

LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort is among 250 convention and visitor bureaus (CVBs), meeting facilities, and hotels across the South to receive this year’s Readers’ Choice Award. Throughout the year, meeting professionals nominated the meeting sites they believe provide exemplary service for group events. The nominated sites were then compiled into an online ballot and meeting professionals and fans voted for the best of the best. With more than 4,000 ballots cast and unprecedented social media engagement, the 2016 selection process has seen the highest levels of participation in the Readers’ Choice Award’s history.

A complete list of award winners can be found online. LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort will be featured as an award recipient in the December 2016 Awards Issue of ConventionSouth magazine.
