LAPLAYA BEACH & GOLF RESORT INVITES GUESTS TO GIVE BACK WHILE GETTING AWAY

NAPLES, Fla. – May 1, 2013 – LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort invites guests to “go green” on a philanthropic vacation to discover and conserve the unique ecosystems and endangered wildlife on Florida’s Gulf Coast. While Naples’s beaches are a fantastic place to enjoy sun and sand, they are also important nesting areas for sea turtles from May through October. Guests give back to the environment while getting away with LaPlaya’s “Love Nesting” package, starting at $279 per night, May 27 – Oct. 31, 2013.

“LOVE NESTING” PACKAGE
5/27/2013 – 10/31/2013
• Starting at $279 per night
• Luxury beachfront accommodations
• Stuffed sea turtle and educational materials at arrival
• Tickets to the Conservancy of Southwest Florida Nature Center
• Free valet parking for hybrid vehicles
• “Sea Turtle Approved” menu at Baleen
• Participation in sea turtle adoption program

To reward eco-friendly efforts, guests arriving in a hybrid car will receive complimentary valet parking. Upon entering their beachfront guest rooms, families will be greeted by a stuffed sea turtle and educational materials to learn more about one of Florida’s most adored reptiles, the Loggerhead Turtle. A “chef tested, sea turtle approved” menu awaits hungry humanitarians at Baleen, the resort’s award winning restaurant, with a gourmet menu consisting of Loggerhead Turtle diet staples such as crab, a variety of fish and Gulf shrimp.

Families will find themselves exploring the natural treasures of Florida with LaPlaya’s three-year Turtle Awareness partner, with tickets to the Conservancy of Southwest Florida Nature Center. Guests will view Loggerhead Turtles in their native habitat within the 21-acre nature experience while celebrating the water, land and wildlife of Florida and learning about the importance of conserving and protecting Earth’s resources. Part of the proceeds from LaPlaya’s “Love Nesting” package will go towards the adoption of a sea turtle, helping to save the beloved endangered species and support the Sea Turtle Conservancy’s efforts for advocacy, education and protection.
